Air Fryer Chili Crisp Chicken Recipe

This Air Fryer Chili Crisp Chicken Recipe will have you begging for seconds. This simple chicken recipe is a great fit for those evenings where you're short on time but still want a meal that's packed with a flavour and crunch.

  • 2 pounds skin-on bone-in drumsticks or thighs
  • 1 Tablespoon Super Magic Taste chili crisp
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil (canola, avocado, sunflower)
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Chopped herbs of your choice - green onion, cilantro, dill, or mint


  1. Combine oil, paprika, salt and pepper, and Chili Crisp in a bowl to make the marinade.
  2. Coat the chicken, and leave it to marinate in a refrigerator for 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can add the ingredients to a large zip-lock bag as it is easier to ensure each drumstick is well covered in the oil and seasoning.
  3. Place the chicken pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Make sure to leave some space between each piece. 
  4. Air fry at 400F-200C for about 25 minutes, turning them after 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165F-74C in the centre of the chicken (If you don't have an air fryer, you can bake in a conventional oven at 400F for around 35 minutes as well).
  5. Toss with the chili crisp to taste, sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
